Privacy & Trust
Privacy Policy
Senseroot is built on parent consent, child data minimization, and strict school-role boundaries. Parents control their child’s wellness, growth, allergy, condition, and nutrition information. Teachers and school staff do not receive access to private child wellness or nutrition records. Schools use Senseroot for school-day communication, announcements, student access, and school operations. Senseroot does not sell child data or use child wellness data for advertising.
Schools manage education and communication workflows. Parents control child wellness data. Senseroot protects the boundary between the two.
Child-first privacy
Senseroot is a child wellness and school communication platform. Because we intentionally process children’s data, we hold ourselves to a stricter standard than a general consumer app. We collect the minimum needed, we process a child’s wellness data only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and we keep sensitive wellness information away from school staff by design.
Schools manage education and communication workflows. Parents control child wellness data. Senseroot protects the boundary between the two. Zunlo is the parent-facing app, operated by Senseroot AI Pvt Ltd.

Why Senseroot collects it
We process each category for a specific, limited purpose — never for open-ended profiling:
- To create and secure your account and connect you to your child’s school profile.
- To provide parent-facing growth tracking and nutrition guidance you ask for.
- To let schools run communication, announcements, attendance, fees, and student operations.
- To keep the service reliable and safe — debugging, abuse prevention, and security.
What schools can see
School administrators use Senseroot to manage school operations. They can see students, classes, staff, parent linkage, announcements, attendance, fees, and student status for their own school. They can see whether a parent has granted or withdrawn a consent (a status flag), but not the wellness information behind it.
What teachers can see
Assigned teachers can see the class and student roster they need for communication, along with announcements and Today at School updates relevant to their own class. Teachers do not receive access to any private child wellness, growth, allergy, condition, or nutrition information.
What schools and teachers cannot see
By default, neither teachers nor school administrators can access:
- Height, weight, BMI, or growth history
- Allergies, chronic conditions, or parent-entered wellness notes
- Nutrition preferences or AI nutrition guidance
- Any parent-controlled wellness record
This is enforced technically, not just by policy: parent-controlled wellness data is stored in a separate, parent-owned area that school roles have no permission to read.
Parent control over wellness data
As a parent or legal guardian, you control your child’s wellness and nutrition data. You decide whether to enable wellness tracking and nutrition guidance, you can view and correct what you enter, and you can withdraw consent for these features. If a future feature ever allows you to share specific information with your school, it will be clearly opt-in and controlled by you.
AI nutrition guidance disclosure
Senseroot uses child profile, measurement, diet, allergy, and nutrition inputs to generate parent-facing nutrition guidance. This is informational guidance and does not diagnose, treat, or replace advice from a pediatrician, dietitian, or qualified healthcare professional. We send only the minimum information needed to generate guidance to approved AI processors, and we do not use your child’s data for advertising.
Do not use Senseroot for medical emergencies. For urgent health concerns, contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency service.
School day communication privacy
Zunlo supports school announcements and structured Today at School updates. These updates are scoped to the relevant school, class, child, parent, teacher, or admin role. School day communication is not a private chat feature and should not be used for emergencies or for sharing private child wellness details. Authorized school administrators may review school day communication where necessary for safety, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, school policy enforcement, or legal compliance, and every such access is logged.
Announcements privacy
Announcements are sent by schools to the relevant school, class, or section audience. Announcements must not expose any private child wellness or nutrition information.
No sale of child data
Senseroot does not sell child data. Ever.
No advertising from child wellness data
We do not use child wellness, growth, allergy, nutrition, or school day communication data for advertising, retargeting, or behavioral ads. We do not add third-party marketing or ad-tracking pixels to the authenticated parent, teacher, or admin surfaces of the product.
Data sharing with service providers
We use a small number of trusted processors to run Senseroot — for example, cloud hosting and infrastructure, and an AI provider used only to generate nutrition guidance. Processors act on our instructions, receive only the data necessary for their task, and are not permitted to use child data for their own purposes. Some processors may operate outside India; where they do, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
Security safeguards
We protect data with role-based access controls, server-enforced access rules, verified app attestation for sensitive operations, encryption in transit, and audit logging of sensitive administrative access. We keep child data out of analytics events, crash logs, and message previews.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by school agreements or law. When you withdraw a consent, we stop the dependent processing and disable the related features. Some school operational records may be retained where a school or legal obligation requires it; consent audit records are retained to evidence what was agreed. Final retention periods are being confirmed with counsel and school agreements.
Your rights: access, correction, update, deletion, grievance
As a parent or legal guardian, you can request access to your child’s personal data, ask us to correct or update it, and request deletion where applicable. You can raise a grievance and expect a timely response. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Consent withdrawal
Consent in Senseroot is feature-specific, versioned, and withdrawable. You can review and withdraw consents in the Zunlo app under Profile → Privacy & Consent. Withdrawing a consent disables the features that depend on it and stops further processing for that purpose, except where retention is legally or operationally required.
Contact and grievance
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@senseroot.ai. To raise a grievance, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@senseroot.ai. We will respond in line with applicable law.
