Privacy & Trust

Privacy you can trust

Privacy at Senseroot is a product feature, not a footnote. Here is what that means for your family and your school, in plain language.

Senseroot is built on parent consent, child data minimization, and strict school-role boundaries. Parents control their child’s wellness, growth, allergy, condition, and nutrition information. Teachers and school staff do not receive access to private child wellness or nutrition records. Schools use Senseroot for school-day communication, announcements, student access, and school operations. Senseroot does not sell child data or use child wellness data for advertising.

Schools manage education and communication workflows. Parents control child wellness data. Senseroot protects the boundary between the two.

Parents are in control

You decide what wellness information to record and whether to use nutrition guidance. You can review, correct, and withdraw at any time.

Teachers can’t see wellness data

Height, weight, allergies, conditions, growth, and nutrition guidance are never shown to teachers or school staff. This is enforced in our systems, not just promised on paper.

Schools get what schools need

Schools manage students, staff, classes, announcements, and school-day communication — the operational tools they need, and nothing more.

We collect the minimum

We ask only for what a feature genuinely needs, and we send only the minimum required to our AI provider to generate nutrition guidance.

No selling, no ads

We never sell child data, and we never use child wellness data for advertising or retargeting. No marketing pixels on parent, teacher, or admin screens.

Guidance, not diagnosis

Our AI nutrition guidance is informational. It does not diagnose or treat, and it never replaces a pediatrician or dietitian.

School day updates you can trust

Schools and teachers publish school announcements and structured Today at School updates, scoped to the relevant school, class, and child. Private wellness, growth, nutrition, and allergy data is never included — and it is not a private chat or a channel for emergencies.

Consent that’s specific and reversible

Consent is asked feature-by-feature, versioned, and recorded — and you can withdraw it from the app whenever you choose.
